Our approach, from first contact to collection
Everything we do starts with a conversation. Before tools come out, we assess the watch and share what we find — what's worn, what's working well, and what we'd suggest addressing.
We don't advocate for more work than the watch needs. If a routine service is sufficient, we'll say so. If there's something else worth considering, we'll explain why — and leave the decision with you.
Condition assessment
We photograph and log the watch, then carry out a systematic inspection of the movement and exterior. This takes place before any work is agreed.
Owner conversation
We share our findings and discuss options. You decide what you'd like to proceed with — and at what pace.
Careful work, with updates
We carry out the agreed service. For longer jobs, we keep in touch at natural stages and welcome questions.
Timing check and return
Every serviced movement goes on the timing machine before collection. You receive the watch with a written record of what was done.
Service 01
Gentle Routine Service
A light, restorative service for watches in regular use. Cleaning, lubrication of key points, and careful regulation — along with a friendly look-over and a conversation about what we notice before anything starts.

Service 02
Dial & Hands Conservation
Careful work on the face of the watch — easing tarnish, refitting loose hands, and addressing lume sympathetically where it can be done without altering the original look you know. Each step is shared with you as we go.

Service 03
Full Restoration Programme
An unhurried, end-to-end restoration for watches needing deeper care. The work takes in movement, case, crystal, and water resistance where suitable. A written record is kept throughout, and you may pause or stop at any stage.

- Part replacement where worn components are identified
- Case and crown cleaning and light finishing
- Crystal and gasket inspection and replacement as needed
- Water resistance pressure test where applicable
- Complete written documentation for your records

Secure handling at all times
Every watch in our care is logged, photographed, and stored securely. Only trained staff handle work pieces.
Timing machine verification
Every serviced movement is tested on a calibrated timing machine before it leaves the bench. Results are available to you on request.
Manufacturer-grade lubricants
We use watchmaking lubricants appropriate to each movement type, stored and rotated on schedule to maintain their properties.
Transparent communication
You're kept informed before, during, and after. Nothing significant happens without your knowledge and agreement.
Written documentation
A written record accompanies every completed service. This travels back with your watch — yours to keep.
Right to pause or stop
Particularly for restoration work, you can pause or stop at any natural stage. We'll tell you where things stand and discuss options honestly.
