Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 May 2026  ·  Bualuang Horology, Bangkok, Thailand

These terms set out the basis on which we accept watches into our care and carry out service work. We have written them to be straightforward and fair. If anything is unclear, please ask before leaving your watch with us.

1. About Us

Bualuang Horology ("we", "us", "our") operates from 17 Ratchadamnoen Road, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand. We may be reached by telephone at +66 53 287 4519 or by email at [email protected].

These terms apply to all services we offer, including the Gentle Routine Service, Dial & Hands Conservation, and Full Restoration Programme. They also govern any consultation, quotation, or enquiry where a watch is placed in our custody.

2. Accepting a Watch Into Our Care

2.1 Initial assessment

Before any work begins, we carry out a look-over of your watch and share what we notice. We will not proceed with any paid work until you have reviewed and agreed to our assessment and the associated cost estimate.

2.2 Written record

When a watch is accepted, we record its condition, any visible marks, and the agreed scope of work. You will receive a copy of this record. We encourage you to review it and let us know if anything appears inaccurate.

2.3 Proof of ownership or authorisation

By leaving a watch with us, you confirm that you are the owner or that you hold clear authorisation from the owner to commission service work. We reserve the right to request supporting documentation where this is unclear.

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 Service prices

Our current published service prices are:

Gentle Routine Service

Cleaning, lubrication, and regulation — typically two weeks

฿7,400

Dial & Hands Conservation

Sympathetic restoration of the dial and hands

฿10,200

Full Restoration Programme

Comprehensive care — movement, case, crystal, and water resistance

฿14,000

3.2 Additional costs

If assessment reveals that a watch needs work beyond the original scope, we will contact you to discuss the additional cost before proceeding. No additional work will be undertaken without your explicit agreement.

3.3 Quoted prices include VAT

All prices displayed are inclusive of Thai VAT at the prevailing rate. We will provide a tax receipt on request.

4. Completion Times

Indicative completion times are shared with you when work is agreed. For example, the Gentle Routine Service is typically completed within two weeks. These estimates are given in good faith and are not binding commitments.

Completion may take longer if parts need to be sourced, if additional work is discovered during service, or in the case of high demand periods. We will keep you informed of any material change to the expected timeline.

5. Your Right to Pause or Stop Work

You may ask us to pause or stop work at any stage. If work is already underway, you will be asked to cover the reasonable cost of labour and materials used up to that point. We will be transparent about those costs before confirming the paused or stopped position.

If you choose not to proceed after an initial assessment, there is no charge, provided the watch has not been disassembled. Once disassembly has begun with your agreement, a partial service fee applies.

6. Payment

Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash in Thai Baht and major credit and debit cards. A 50% deposit may be requested for Full Restoration Programme work; if so, this will be communicated clearly at the time of agreement.

We do not store payment card details. Any card payments are handled through a third-party processor operating under its own security standards.

7. Care of Watches in Our Custody

We treat every watch in our care with the same attention we would give to our own. Watches are stored securely when not being worked on and are handled only by our trained horologists.

In the unlikely event of accidental damage occurring while a watch is in our care, we will contact you immediately to discuss the situation openly and agree a fair resolution. Our liability in such cases is limited to the reasonable cost of restoring the watch to the condition in which it was received.

We do not accept liability for pre-existing defects, normal age-related wear, or any issues that were present before the watch was placed in our care and were noted in the intake record.

8. Uncollected Watches

When work is complete, we will contact you to arrange collection. If a watch remains uncollected for 60 days after notification, we will attempt to contact you again using any alternative details we hold.

If a watch remains uncollected for 12 months without response, we reserve the right to treat it as abandoned. We will make reasonable efforts to locate the owner before taking any further step, and will act in accordance with applicable Thai law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that service.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss, or for loss of sentimental value above the watch's assessed monetary value.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other matter where Thai law does not permit limitation.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you leave a watch with us is the version that applies to that service. We will not apply revised terms retroactively to work already in progress.
